Principal Geostatistician
Flavie started her career as a field geologist working in gemstones mines at a number of mine sites across the world. Her interest in modelling and predicting gemstone quality took her to a role with Vale in New Caledonia as a Resource Geologist. She worked in this role for five years, in charge of estimating and reporting nickel resources using Datamine. During this time, she became Geology Manager looking after the entire process from exploration, drilling, sampling, QAQC, grade control and resource definition.
Keen to learn more about geostatistics and resource estimation, Flavie completed a Post Master’s degree at the School of Mines in Fontainebleau, France where she also learnt the use of Isatis software. She subsequently became a consultant in geology and sales manager for Geovariances, the company that produces Isatis, where she conducted training in Geostatistics and technical studies to the company’s client base.
Since her arrival at Cube, Flavie has completed her skill set working with a wide range of commodities (gold, lithium-bearing pegmatite, IOCG, Zn-Pb-Ag and iron ore deposits). She has acted as Group Resource Geologist for one of Cube’s large clients for one year and is highly engaged in the mentoring and training of mine and project geologists in resource estimation.
Her efficiency in delivering results and focus on customer care adds value to any project.
